Sierra Mar is one of California's finest vineyards, located on a hilly, prime location on the southern edge of the Santa Lucia Highlands. We are honored to be one of the few to receive Pinot Noir and Chardonnay grapes from renowned winemaker Gary Franscioni.

Sierra Mar is Spanish for 'mountain sea', a literal translation of the location. The vineyard is located near the coast, 300 metres above sea level.

The granite and clay soil provides excellent drainage. The cool sea breeze, misty mornings and sunny afternoons ensure a long ripening season. All this ensures very high quality grapes with a typical freshness. After the grapes are hand-picked and selected, fermentation and ripening takes place according to Burgundian tradition.

The wine matures extensively in French oak, 40% of which is new. To ensure extra richness and complexity, the wine is stirred by hand every two weeks until just before bottling.

Light gold in colour. An exuberant bouquet of ripe white fruit and a hint of caramel. Very intense in flavour with ripe peaches, mandarin and soft oak. Full-bodied in flavour with an exceptionally long, fresh and pleasant aftertaste.

Fond memories of our "founder"

“In America I wanted to make wines that can compete with the best wines in the world and be accessible to everyone. Maybe not every day, but every day that you want to make more beautiful. We have worked with everything to create a wine collection that meets this ambition and believe that we have succeeded”
