This Single Vineyard is one of California's best vineyards. A hilly top location, in the south of the Santa Lucia Highands. Although it is owned by the renowned winegrower Gary Franscioni, we receive a small portion of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay grapes because of our good relationship.
This excellent vineyard owes its name to its location. Sierra Mar literally means 'mountain sea'. The combination of granite and clay in the subsoil ensures excellent drainage. The typical freshness in the wine is due to the cool sea breeze, misty mornings and sunny afternoons. This vineyard has everything needed to produce high quality grapes. The vineyard is not nicknamed Santa Lucia Highlands Superstar for nothing!
The Pinot Noir grapes are hand-picked and selected in the perfect ripe state. After a Burgundian fermentation, the wine is left to rest for 10 months in oak barrels (40% of which are new).
Medium Bordeaux red in colour. Beautiful nose of cherries, berries, spiciness and ripe plums. Very concentrated and deep in flavour with ripe red fruit, subtle oak and a hint of flowers in the firm finish.
Awarded 91 Wine Enthusiast points.
Awarded 93 Vinous points.

Fond memories of our "founder"
“In America I wanted to make wines that can compete with the best wines in the world and be accessible to everyone. Maybe not every day, but every day that you want to make more beautiful. We have worked with everything to create a wine collection that meets this ambition and believe that we have succeeded”
