Wine Enthusiast, a renowned wine magazine, recognized the Santa Lucia Highlands as a 'Grand Cru' vineyard for the quality that this terroir produces. The vineyards benefit from many hours of sunshine and are cooled daily by the Pacific fog and sea breezes. The large difference between day and night temperatures ensures a slow ripening season, which benefits the quality.

Picked and vinified with the greatest care

The Bernardus Pinot Noir grapes are hand-picked to select the best quality. They are then aged for at least 9 months in French oak. The result is a wine with an exuberant fruit character, toasted oak and vanilla. The full-bodied wine has soft tannins and a refreshing finish.

Slightly chilled at its best

Think outside the box and serve this wine slightly chilled. The exuberant fruit character and freshness in this wine are best enjoyed between 10 and 14 degrees.
